World Maternal Mental Health Day

Today, May 1st, marks World Maternal Mental Health Day, a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of maternal mental health and supporting mothers worldwide.

Motherhood is a profound journey filled with joy, love, and fulfillment, but it also comes with its share of challenges. The transition to motherhood can often be accompanied by feelings of anxiety, stress, and depression, yet these maternal mental health issues are frequently overlooked or stigmatized.

As we observe World Maternal Mental Health Day, we renew our commitment to supporting the mental well-being of mothers everywhere. We urge policymakers, healthcare providers, and communities to prioritize maternal mental health by investing in comprehensive mental health services, destigmatizing maternal mental health issues, and promoting early intervention and support for mothers in need.

At Community Planning & Advocacy Council, we stand in solidarity with mothers around the world, advocating for their right to mental health care and support.

Join us in recognizing World Maternal Mental Health Day and taking action to support the mental health and well-being of mothers everywhere. Together, we can create a world where every mother feels valued, supported, and empowered on her journey through motherhood.
