Children's System

C.P.A.C. manages the Children’s System in Camden County, which includes the Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council, Prevention Funded Programs, and the Camden County Council for Young Children

Children’s Inter-Agency Coordinating Council (CIACC)

The Camden County Inter-Agency Coordinating Council (CIACC) serves as the mechanism to develop and maintain a responsive, accessible, and integrated system of care for children with special social, emotional, and behavioral needs to support them and their families. The CIACC operates through the involvement of parents, consumers, youth, child-serving agencies and hospitals. The CIACC’s mandate is to monitor, guide and integrate the existing traditional system of children’s services with the new statewide services as they are being created and implemented.

The CIACC has three (4) subcommittees under it, which are: 

  • Educational Partnership Subcommittee 

  • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Subcommittee

  • Youth Substance Use Prevention Subcommittee (Ad-Hoc)

  • Family Voice Subcommittee

Camden County Council for Young Children

The goal of the (CCCYC) is to strengthen collaboration between parents, families, local education communities, early care program providers, and social service supports. Our purpose is to bring parents, families, and communities together to improve, expand and heighten the understanding and usability of the following systems in Camden County:

  • High-quality early childhood education

  • Child development services

  • Community resources that are available to serve children from birth to eight.

 

The CCCYC is always actively recruiting dedicated partners to offer their experience, skill, and time to improve the systems that impact the birth to the eight-year-old population in Camden County.

Family Success Centers

The Family Success Centers are community-based, family-centered neighborhood gathering places where community residents can go for family support, information, and services. The Center is a safe and supportive home-like environment designed to strengthen families build relationships, and empower individuals to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to raise healthy and happy children.

 

Family Success Centers aim to promote safe, healthy families by providing convenient access to a wide array of resources that can help them keep children safe. A variety of family-friendly activities take place each month. All events and activities are free and open to all families.

 

Services at the Family Success Centers include:

 

  • Linking families to services in the community

  • Family enrichment seminars

  • Cross-cultural family dinners

  • Healthcare education

  • Job training

  • Parenting workshops

  • Life skills training

  • Advocacy
