Community Planning and Advocacy Council - Civic Leadership Awards will be presented to, appointed/elected officials, business, non-profit and community leaders and organizations, who have continuously demonstrated and exemplified excellence in leadership by:  

• Utilizing their time, talent, and/ or treasure to serve the greater good 

• Proving to be an advocate by advancing, supporting, promoting, and uplifting the community, and by doing so, continues to make South Jersey the best place to live, work, and raise a family

• Demonstrating ingenuity, creativity, and passion in promoting the region

These leaders will be recognized during the Civic Leadership Awards Reception. Details to be announced upon acceptance of award recipientsSpring 2023.

 

Nominations for the Community Planning and Advocacy Council’s - Civic Leadership Award are now being accepted in the following categories based on the following criteria: 

 

Lifetime Achievement Award 

This Award honors an outstanding individual, one who is personally committed to and has dedicated their time, talent, energy, and resources to drive change and promote growth in the areas that that they influence, which allow South Jersey to continue to be the best place to live, work, and raise a family.  

The Volunteer Award is presented to an individual who has proven their unselfish and dedicated service to a making a significant difference in their community and mirrors the commitment to success in our professional ranks.

The Excellence in Education award recognizes an individual and their organization that exemplify thought leadership, innovation through the coordination of research and collaboration to serve the greater good in the field of education in the South Jersey region and beyond. 

The Advocacy Award is presented to an individual or organization that have made significant and sustained contributions to advancing or promoting planning and also by serving as a voice of the community in the South Jersey region and beyond.

The Humanitarian Award is presented to and individual who has distinguished themselves by meritorious participation in an act, operation, or for prolonged service of a humanitarian nature directed toward an individual or groups of individuals in the South Jersey region and beyond. 

The Charitable Foundation Award is presented to a charitable foundation that has proven through its philanthropic endeavors that is goes above and beyond to not only contribute to, but also to connect with the community and strives to continue make South Jersey the best place to live, work, and raise a family. 

The Women’s Leadership Award is presented to a female leader who tirelessly serves as a mentor, leader, and role model to women in the community and has proven her dedication to making South Jersey the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

The Game Changer Award recognizes an outstanding member of the community who possesses the ingenuity, creativity, and passion it takes to rally the business community and promote South Jersey as the best place to work, live and raise a family.   

The Excellence in Healthcare Award is presented to an individual and their organization that have shown exemplary commitment and dedication in the field of medicine and healthcare through collaboration, research and innovation throughout the South Jersey region and beyond.

The Public Service Award recognizes an individual or an organization for its outstanding contributions to serving the greater good in the areas that they serve and also for their continued dedication to making South Jersey the best place to work, live, and raise a family. 

The Rising Star Award is presented to a young professional early on in their career who continues to prove their dedication to excellence in the areas of business and community by helping to make South Jersey and the region the best place to work, live, and raise a family. 

Chairman’s Award is presented to an individual who serves as the highest-ranking leader in his or her position within their company, but also as the Chairman of the board of a non-profit organization, both of which are dedicated to make South Jersey the best place to live, work and, raise a family.  

Economic Development Leadership Award recognizes a leader in the area of economic growth and development who is dedicated not only in their position, but also goes above and beyond to help promote, foster, and develop growth in the South Jersey region and beyond. 

Trendsetter Award is presented to a South Jersey Leader who has taken the initiative, as a leader to influence and encourage his peers to create positive and economic growth and development.
Innovator Award is presented to an individual who has creatively developed a unique concept or modeled their business in a way that is unlike any other in our region by having seen what was not, create it, and continue to find a way to make it happen.
